Netflix fires Kevin Spacey from 'House of Cards'

Posted online

Following its decision to stop production of "House of Cards," Netflix has gone one step further and announced it will no longer do business with Kevin Spacey.

A Netflix statement said the company would not be "involved with any further production of 'House of Cards' that includes Kevin Spacey." Netflix also will not release the film "Gore," starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.

Media Rights Capital, which produces "House of Cards," said Spacey was suspended from the production.

After actor Anthony Rapp’s sexual abuse allegations against Spacey, others have come forward with sexual harassment allegations against the actor. A CNN report detailed multiple incidents during the production of "House of Cards" itself.
