Netflix reported better top- and bottom-line results in the third quarter than analysts expected.
Earnings per share were $3.10, above the $2.13 per share estimate by analysts. Revenue of $7.9 billion beat projections of $7.8 billion.
During the quarter, Netflix added 2.4 million subscribers. Analysts expected 1.1 million new subscribers.
