Netflix reported a second quarter global net subscriber increase of 10.09 million users.
That beat user growth of 8.26 million expected by analysts.
However, Netflix projected 2.5 million net subscriber additions for the third quarter, below expectations of 5.27 million. That sent the company's shares down nearly 9% in after-hours trading.
