Nestle close to signing off on Cuba factory

Swiss firm Nestle is nearing a joint venture deal with Cuba to build a $50 million to $60 million factory in the country.

The plant would produce coffee, biscuits and cooking products.

Company Vice President Laurent Freixe on Wednesday visited the island to negotiate the deal and renew for another 20 years an existing joint venture producing ice cream.
