McGowan, principal of St. Louis-based historic renovation firm Blue Urban LLC, said complications stemming from a review of Park Central Square’s historical significance have delayed the start of renovations on the downtown landmark at least 60 days. He had previously said they would begin June 1.
McGowan plans to renovate the downtown landmark as 38 upscale condos above a Mike Shannon’s Steaks and Seafood Restaurant. The project’s price tag is $26 million to $30 million.
