The NCAA and the nation’s five biggest conferences have agreed to pay a nearly $2.8 billion settlement related to athlete pay.
The NCAA and the conferences would pay the funds over 10 years to over 14,000 former and current college athletes who say now-defunct rules stopped them from earning money from endorsement and sponsorship deals, The Associated Press reports.
The agreement must be approved by a federal judge overseeing the case.
