NBC drops Bill Cosby project

Posted online
The allegations are catching up with Bill Cosby as both NBC and Netflix have halted projects with the 77-year-old comedian.

The postponements come in the wake of multiple rape allegations over the past few days as more and more women come forward with stories.

The Washington Post reports that this past summer, NBC entertainment President Jennifer Salke told TV reporters the proposed comedy would be a “multigenerational family show” with Cosby as “the patriarch of the family, dispensing his classic wisdom on relationships and parenthood.”

The network offered no further comment.

Netflix also confirmed it would postpone the launch of Cosby’s comedy special, scheduled to be streamed starting on Thanksgiving.

Perhaps most notably, once supermodel and former “American’s Next Top Model” judge Janice Dickinson claims she was sexually assaulted by Cosby.
