A whistleblower lawsuit accuses Navistar International Inc. and its defense unit of bilking some $1.3 billion from the Pentagon.
The suit filed in 2013 was made public Tuesday. The suit claims Navistar charged the U.S. government "wildly inflated prices" for vehicle components headed to the Middle East.
“We believe our pricing was fair, reasonable and competitive, and we are disappointed the government has chosen to intervene in this matter,” said Lyndi McMillan, a Navistar spokeswoman.
