A report by KY3 indicates Springfield Public Schools is facing similar problems as the rest of the nation in filling bus driver jobs.
SPS Director of Transportation Jonathan Shelden said the district hasn't "had that flow of applicants to be able to back flow those positions." His staff recently met with 15 applicants in hopes of filling 12 open driver spots.
A National Pupil Transportation Organization survey found 91 percent of school districts in the country are having some kind of difficulty filling driver jobs.
