Nation's 10th-biggest accounting firm buys Pittsburgh company

The 10th-biggest accounting firm in the U.S. has entered Pittsburgh, Pa., by acquiring one of the city’s largest independent firms.

Minneapolis-based CliftonLarsonAllen LLP bought KFMR Katz Ferraro McMurtry PC for undisclosed terms.

CLA is No. 10 on Inside Public Accounting’s annual national ranking, based on 2014 revenue, which was $598.7 million.

Two years ago, No. 12 accounting firm BKD LLP bought Pittsburgh's Malin Bergquist LLP.
