The project, between Talmage and Jean streets, included the construction of three lanes, curb and gutter secondary arterial with new driveway approaches, and storm water management improvements.
A ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Community of Christ Church’s parking lot, 2722 N. National Ave.
The project was funded by the ¼-cent capital improvement sales tax and was a continuation of construction on National Avenue from Norton to Evergreen streets, completed last year.
Hartman and Co. Inc. served as general contractor for the project; the city of Springfield’s public works department provided design and engineering services.
