Nasdaq closes above 4,000 for first time in 13 years

The Nasdaq composite index closed above 4,000 on Tuesday for the first time since 2000, according to Reuters.

Among the best-performing sectors were retailers and homebuilders, which have performed better than expected.

It's the first time the index has had a finish above 4,000 since the dot-com bubble burst in 2000.
