The man considered to be the top candidate to replace CEO Robert Greifeld is leaving his position with the Nasdaq OMX Group.
Eric Noll, executive vice president of transaction services since 2009, is exiting the exchange to work for brokerage firm ConvergEx Group, according to Fox News.
ConvergEx Group, which is owned by CVC Capital Partners, said Noll accepted an offer to become president of the New York-based company and will transition to the additional position of CEO at the end of this year.
