Napster, which started as an illegal downloading platform before becoming a paid streaming music service, has sold to a London startup.
MelodyVR agreed to buy the company for $70 million. MelodyVR provides virtual reality customers with streams of musical performances.
MelodyVR plans to implement Napster with its live performance technology. With 3 million users, Napster has a library of 90 million licensed tracks.
