Myer Hotels purchases sixth location in Branson

Myer Hotels is expanding its Branson holdings with the purchase of a sixth area property.

The company announced Tuesday that it has purchased the Holiday Inn Express on Green Mountain Drive in Thousand Hills from former owner Pat Shell. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Myer Hotels plans extensive upgrades and renovations to the 120-unit facility, with the hotel being closed for six to eight weeks for completion. Plans call for a new pool enclosure, hot tub, game room and exercise room, though Vice President of Marketing Chris Myer said not all the renovations will be complete when the hotel reopens.

"This is a great property," Myer said via e-mail. "We are just going to make it even better."

Vice President of Operations Gail Myer said in a news release that the new hotel is a good fit with the company's current holdings.

"We know the Holiday Inn Express brand is a powerful brand among travelers and has a loyal following," Myer said in the release. "This property fits well with our other upper mid-scale hotels in Branson."

Myer Hotels owns Comfort Inn & Suites in Branson Meadows, Best Western Center Pointe Inn, Best Western Music Capital Inn, Comfort Inn at Thousand Hills and Comfort Inn West.[[In-content Ad]]
