Tesla CEO Elon Musk opened up in an interview with The New York Times.
“This past year has been the most difficult and painful year of my career,” he said. “It was excruciating.”
Racing to reach production targets at Tesla, Musk said he nearly missed his brother's wedding and spent his birthday in offices.

Musk and Tesla currently are facing lawsuits after the executive tweeted about potentially taking the company private.
