During a news conference held yesterday at the Ozarks Technical Community College campus, the Springfield-based Musgrave Foundation announced the recipients of 35 grants totaling roughly $200,000.
The college's fundraising arm, the OTC Foundation, received $15,000 as part of the grant cycle. According to the release, the funding will be used for scholarships for students in OTC's applied health programs.
“We are grateful to the Musgrave Foundation for their support of our students, and their recognition of the need for more qualified health care workers in our community,” said Cliff Davis, executive director of the OTC Foundation, said in the release. “This grant will make it possible for students who may otherwise have been unable to pay for college to complete their education and improve both the physical and economic health of our community.”
