The John Deere construction equipment dealer is planning an August 24 grand opening celebration for its new location at 1401 State Highway MM.
The new location, which moves the Wichita, Kan.-based company’s Springfield location to Republic, comprises 25,200 square feet of space on the nine-acre site and offers more interior space, multiple service bays and a larger equipment yard for heavy machinery.
Larry Snyder & Co. was the general contractor on the $1.6 million project, which was completed in June. H Design Group was the project architect, with HBH Engineers and Great River Engineering as the engineers.
The grand opening event, scheduled to run 10 a.m.–2 p.m., will include lunch and a tour of the new facility.
Visitors also will get a chance to see the new lines of John Deere excavators and other heavy construction equipment.
