Springfield-based stainless steel manufacturer Paul Mueller Co. (OTC: MUEL) approved a tender offer to buy back up to 35,000 shares.
The share repurchase program is for up to $15.4 million, according to a news release. The tender offer started May 8 and is set to expire on June 5.
The company intends to repurchase up to 35,000 shares at a price of $440 per share.
"The company is in a positive cash position and desires to offer eligible holders a ready alternative to dispose of their shares if that is their desire," Mueller Co. officials said in the terms sheet. "Eligible holders may benefit from the offer by disposing of their shares without transaction fees."
In the first quarter, Mueller Co. cited delays on long-term projects in reporting profits of $2.3 million, a 53.3% drop from $4.9 million in first-quarter 2025, according to past reporting.
The company's over-the-counter stock closed May 15 at $445, which compares with a 52-week range of $286 to $575 per share.
