MSU-West Plains to pay $576K to Springfield campus

The West Plains campus of Missouri State University has committed to submitting a $575,892 payment to the Springfield campus, fulfilling the remaining outstanding balance related to a nearly 20-year-old loan.

In November 1994, the MSU Board of Governors approved a resolution to provide roughly $1.1 million in funding assistance for the West Plains campus dormitory, according to the board's executive committee agenda for its Feb. 20 meeting in Springfield.

Pending board of governors approval today, the payment would would be submitted Feb. 28.

The West Plains residence hall, known as Grizzly House, opened in August 1994. The three-story dormitory can house up to 60 students, according to WP.MissouriState.edu.
