Missouri State University and St. Charles Community College officials last week signed three articulation agreements designed to ease the transition toward earning a degree from the Springfield-based school.
SCC students with an associate of arts degree are guaranteed that MSU will accept designated freshman and sophomore education credits and all general education credits. The credits are applicable for an on-campus or online bachelor's degree, according to a news release.
"The access to educational opportunities provided by SCC to students in our community will be strengthened as a result of these agreements," said Chris Breitmeyer, SCC vice president for academic and student affairs, in the release. "I am hopeful that we will continue to collaborate on ways to provide students access to a bachelor’s degree and beyond.”
MSU, which already had agreements in place for SCC geography and geology students, could add communication, professional writing, general business, finance, education and nursing students through the new deals.[[In-content Ad]]
