Students at the Springfield and West Plains campuses total 21,407 – up about 450 students from last year, and surpassing 21,000 for the first time.
Enrollment at the Springfield campus is 19,705 students. That represents a nearly 20 percent increase since 1995, when the school began raising its admission standards, according to an MSU news release.
International student enrollment is up by 247 students, or 41 percent. That includes 97 students on MSU’s Dalian, China, campus. Among other student groups:
• Minority student enrollment increased by 88 students, or 7.3 percent;
• Continuing student enrollment increased by 199 students, or 1.6 percent;
• Out-of-state student enrollment increased 124 students, or 10.9 percent; and
• Graduate degree-seeking student enrollment increased 86 students, or 15.9 percent.[[In-content Ad]]
