The grant will help the university to digitally tie its Springfield and West Plains campuses – the objective of the school’s Unified Digital Institutional Development Plan, according to a news release.
“It will give students and faculty on both campuses better access to data, information, a new document storage and management system with better security, and privacy protections,” said Jeff Morrissey, project director in MSU Computer Services Administration and Information Services, in the release.
The grant is provided through the U.S. Department of Education’s Strengthening Institutions Program and provides $500,000 in first-year funding for five years.
