MSU quarterback suspended for remainder of season

Breck Ruddick, Missouri State University's starting quarterback, has been suspended for the rest of 2016.

Ruddick was temporarily suspended Sept. 23, when the coaching staff became aware of allegations he abused a dog he was watching for a friend.

“If I’m going to use the history lesson from the great history book, it talks about forgiveness,” Bears football coach Dave Steckel said. “We’re all sinful and we all forgive. Forgive does not mean trust, and he has to build trust back. There’s a difference between that."

Ruddick still will remain with the team.
