With the impending retirement of Chief of Staff Paul Kincaid and the beginning of a new fiscal year, the Missouri State University president's office is undergoing a shakeup.
The moves involve two new administrators and three current executives, according to a news release.
Kincaid, who also serves as assistant to the president for university relations, will relinquish most of his duties with the new fiscal year starting tomorrow and officially retire Oct. 1. His responsibilities are being redistributed to two current staff members and one new hire.
Ryan DeBoef, legal counsel at MSU, will become chief of staff and assistant to the president for governmental relations. His salary starting tomorrow will be $135,000.
Jim Baker, MSU's vice president for research, economic development and international programs, also will take on federal governmental duties, according to the release.
The new hire, M. Suzanne Shaw, comes to MSU from Purdue University, where she served most recently as assistant vice president of strategic marketing and market research. At MSU, Shaw becomes vice president for marketing and communications, responsible for the unit formerly known as university relations, university and athletic communications, publications, Web and new media, photographic services. Her salary will be $135,000 when she begins her duties between July 1 and Aug. 1.
MSU General Counsel Penni Groves will move into the legal counsel role tomorrow. Succeeding her as general counsel is Rachael Dockery, who comes to MSU from CoxHealth, where she was assistance general counsel since 2010. She will be paid $145,000 annually, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
