Missouri State University President Clif Smart and JQH Arena Executive Director Keith Boaz put on their wigs and makeup in a video announcing classic rock band KISS would play at the arena this summer.
Wearing white and black face paint, Smart said in the video the July 23 concert would be the first time KISS has played in Springfield since 1990.
The stop is part of the band's Freedom to Rock summer tour that's visiting over 25 cities.
Tickets, which go on sale April 15, would range from $39 to $125.
April 7 was the official opening day for Mexican-Italian fusion restaurant Show Me Chuy after a soft launch that started March 31; marketing agency AdZen debuted; and the Almighty Sando Shop opened a brick-and-mortar space.
