The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by opening remarks and a question-and-answer session by Blunt and Kruse, moderated by KMZU Farm Director Janet Adkison, at 7 p.m. The event is in the White River Room at Bass Pro Shops, 1935 S. Campbell Ave.
“While history shows that agriculture plays the most basic role in the well-being of our country, the pressures it faces today from many fronts result in a constant reexamination of our policies and practices,” MSU agriculture department head Anson Elliot said in a news release. “These speakers can help us focus our attention on these challenges.”
More than 200 people are expected to attend, including Farm Bureau members, agricultural business leaders, cattlemen, legislators, students and faculty, according to the release.
Tickets to the meal and discussion are $20 and available through the MSU agriculture department at (417) 836-5638. There is no cost to attend the forum by itself.
