Missouri State University has selected its new executive director of alumni relations.
Lori Winters Fan has been tabbed to succeed Julie Ebersold, who now has
retired after holding the position since 1984. Fan will start the position Aug. 19, pending approval by the Missouri State University Board of Governors, according to a news release. Her starting annual salary is $88,500.
“Obviously, Lori has some big shoes to fill," MSU President Clif Smart said in the release. "For thousands of alumni, Julie Ebersold has been the face, not only of the alumni association, but of the university. It was a pleasure to work closely with her the past couple of years. She will be greatly missed.”
Fan had worked as executive director of alumni relations for Bradley University of Peoria, Ill., since 1999. During her tenure, she led two strategic planning cycles leading to new engagement programs and partnered with development officers for a $150 million capital campaign.
“She has extensive experience in alumni programming, and I know she will fit in very well wearing the maroon and white," said Brent Dunn, MSU vice president for university advancement, in the release.
The office of development and alumni relations maintains permanent alumni records, including more than 100,000 mailing addresses and roughly 60,000 email addresses of graduates and former students, according to its website.[[In-content Ad]]
