MSU Foundation ends fiscal year with second-highest total

Posted online
The Missouri State University Foundation ended fiscal 2014 with the second-highest total in the history of the school's fundraising arm.

Through June 30, the foundation raised $18.4 million, up 10.3 percent from $16.7 million in fiscal 2013 and second only to a record $20.3 million raised in 2012, according to a news release.

Donations to the foundation fund services including programs, scholarships and equipment.

“The numbers are impressive, but the significance lies in what the numbers allow us to provide: support for our students, faculty, programs and facilities," MSU President Clif Smart said in the release.

During the past fiscal year, 21,141 donors contributed 40,197 gifts, and $1.4 million in deferred donations were pledged.

Since its inception in 1981, the MSU Foundation has raised $228.8 million, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
