The Missouri State University Board of Governors tomorrow is scheduled to consider a promotion for executive Brad Bodenhausen.
He's up for the position of vice president for community and global partnerships, according to the board's May 19 agenda. That role is being vacated this summer by Jim Baker, who is retiring after a nearly 30-year career at the university.
Bodenhausen, who currently serves as MSU's associate vice president for international education and training, was offered the job late last month by President Clif Smart, according to a letter provided with the board agenda. It's signed by Smart and Bodenhausen.
"I am looking forward to working with you on our administrative team and know you will be a great addition to that team," Smart wrote in the letter.
Smart said in the letter that if approved for the position, Bodenhausen would be responsible for advising him on the operations and management of university research, economic development activities, broadcast services and international programs.
If approved for the job, Bodenhausen would start July 1 with an annual base salary of $156,000, according to Smart's letter.
Bodenhausen joined MSU eight years ago after working for more than 21 years at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Baker is scheduled to retire June 30, MSU announced late last year.
