Meyer will continue as the school’s exclusive radio provider for sporting contests through 2013, according to an MSU news release. The contract includes options for 2013–14 and 2014–15.
The six-year agreement begins next year and is valued to the university at more than $2.7 million. Meyer has had radio rights with the school since 1988.
Under the terms, Meyer will present game broadcasts for all football and men’s and women’s basketball games and 60 other events, including volleyball, baseball and softball games.
Meyer also will carry pre- and post-game shows and weekly call-in shows for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball.
The primary carrier for game broadcasts will be KTXR 101.3 FM in Springfield; Meyer’s sister stations will carry the games when there are conflicts. The games also will be carried on Meyer’s statewide network and Web site, www.radiospringfield.com.[[In-content Ad]]
