Missouri State University next month will host its fourth annual Public Affairs Conference, this year themed “Seeking Solutions: Conflict, Violence and the Courage to Change.”

The April 15–18 event on the MSU campus is free and open to the public.

More than 20 panel discussions will offer perspectives from business, entertainment, education, politics, religion, health and other subject areas, according to a news release.

Keynote speakers will include: Glenn D. Frazier, a military award winner featured in Ken Burns Frontline Films’ “World War II Documentaries;” William Douglas Lansford, who is erecting a Los Angeles monument to honor Latino-American Medal of Honor recipients; Jim Bohannon, a nationally syndicated talk show host and news anchor; Richard L. Berke, assistant managing editor for The New York Times; Victor LaCerva, who works in violence prevention; Tim Lenoir, the Kimberly Jenkins chair for new technologies in society at Duke University; and Pedro Alejandro Matta, who was a student leader at the University of Chile when a coup d’etat overthrew the elected government of President Salvador Allende.

Free parking will be available in visitor’s lot 13 at National Avenue and Monroe Street and the school’s parking garages.

The event’s complete schedule is available online at www.publicaffairs.missouristate.edu/conference.
