Mary Sheid, previously the board’s vice president, was voted president, succeeding Michael Franks.
Sheid owns Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic Inc. in West Plains and Mountain Grove and has been on the board since 2002. Her term ends Aug. 28, 2011.
Michael Duggan was named vice president. He is vice president of sales for Dot Foods Inc. of St. Louis. His term also expires Aug. 28, 2011.
MSU Chief Financial Officer Kent Kay was re-elected treasurer, and MSU staff member emeritus John McAlear was re-elected secretary.
Two vacancies remain on the board. The Missouri governor appoints all board members for six-year terms.
MSU committee membership for the next school year also was announced today.
The executive committee will comprise Duggan, Kansas City school principal Phyllis Washington, Springfield hotelier Gordon Elliott and Sheid, ex officio.
The finance committee will comprise John Winston of Clayton Capital Partners in St. Louis, Duggan and Elliott.
The student affairs committee will comprise Cathy Smith, Sheid and student board member Ryan Sivill.
The academic affairs committee will comprise Brian Hammons, president and CEO of Hammons Products Company in Stockton, and Washington.
