MSU alumna fills executive role

Posted online
A Missouri State University alumna is returning to Springfield to fill a vacant executive position.

Effective July 22, Dee Siscoe will begin her duties as vice president for student affairs at the university. She succeeds Earle Doman, who retired May 1 after 20 years at MSU, the past five as vice president, according to a news release.

Siscoe, the current interim vice president for student affairs at the University of South Florida, is slated to earn an annual salary of $150,000 at MSU. Her appointment is expected to be approved by the university's board of governors during its May 16 meeting.

“I am so excited we were able to hire someone with the experience, personality and enthusiasm that Dee has,” MSU President Clif Smart said in the release. “She will be a tremendous asset to our team, and I am looking forward to working with her.”

As vice president of student affairs, Siscoe is charged with overseeing enrollment management, student life, the dean of student's office, student academic support services, Taylor Health and Wellness Center and the university bookstore.

Siscoe, who earned her bachelor's degree from MSU, also has worked as associate vice president for student affairs at the University of South Florida, Southern Methodist University and Texas Woman's University, the release said.
