Joplin's Missouri Southern State University is facing whistleblower lawsuits filed last month.
The lawsuits filed by former instructors at the MSSU School of Nursing allege the individuals were fired improperly after they reported problems in the program to the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Their complaints to the state board included allegations of inadequate staffing and teacher-student ratios.
MSSU officials declined to comment on the lawsuits.
