The Missouri Southern State University Board of Governors yesterday heard details of the college's plans for a former downtown Joplin Public Library building.
Plans call for a downtown center that would serve as a "front door" to the college to interact with businesses, prospective students, alumni and the community, officials said.
Dubbed the LaunchPad project, the center would house the school's Small Business Development Center.
