Cable news channel MSNBC is rebranding as MS NOW, which reportedly stands for My Source for News, Opinion and the World.
Originally launched in a 1996 partnership between Microsoft and NBC, MSNBC is now being spun off this year from parent Comcast into a company called Versant. Several cable channels are included in the spin-off to Versant.
MSNBC has reportedly been on a hiring spree as it looks to compete on its own away from NBC News.
