That’s the word from owners Dan and Nicole Chilton, who previously planned to open the independent, art-house movie theater in March but were delayed by unforeseen costs and a tight budget.
The Chiltons will offer free tours and popcorn at an open house 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 2 during the First Friday Art Walk.
The grand opening will feature two new films to be announced later. Monthly calendars with show times will be available at the theater and around town.
Admission will be $8 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and students with ID and $5 for matinees.
The theater also will feature local artists’ work, beginning with exhibits by Jennifer and Olof Pierson at the open house.
