Mower manufacturer to expand, add 200 jobs in KC

Excel Industries Inc., manufacturer of Hustler and Big Dog mowing equipment, signed a lease for roughly half of a large new industrial building in Edgerton's Logistics Park Kansas City.

With the new facility operating, the Hesston, Kan.-based company plans to create 200 jobs, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

The plant would include warehouse and distribution space, and it eventually would have manufacturing operations for an existing product line.
