Mountain Valley Spring Water acquired by Great Range Capital

The familiar green glass bottle can be found in all 50 states and around the world. Now, Hot Springs, Ark.-based Mountain Valley Spring Water has been acquired by a Kansas City company.

Arkansas Business reports an investment group led by Great Range Capital acquired the nation's oldest continuously operated bottled water company for an undisclosed amount. GRC primarily targets controlling equity investments in Midwestern companies with revenues ranging from $10 million to $150 million.

Mountain Valley recently hired 40 new workers and posted a 38 percent revenue increase in 2013.
