Mother’s to unveil ‘dramatically different’ labels

Mother’s Brewing Co. next week will unveil new labels for its products a company spokeswoman says are “dramatically different.”

“It’s definitely a departure from our original look,” Sales and Marketing Director Laura Head said. “We were looking at where we started and where we wanted to go.

“It’s always nice to breath some fresh air into your brand.”

Mother’s is hosting an April 27 reveal party for the new labeling on its year-round beers - Towhead, Lil’ Helper and Three Blind Mice. Declining to provide photos of the new labels before the reveal party, Head said the new Towhead label is golden yellow, Lil’ Helper will gain a logo and keep its blue coloring, and Three Blind Mice would be an orange-rust color. The company’s signature heart logo will remain the same.

Mother’s has worked with Revel Advertising since last summer on the new branding to coincide with the company’s fifth anniversary.

Head said the beers will hit stores the first week of May. The company’s seasonal selections also will be adapted to the new style.

Head said the bright colors and cohesive branding would help Mother’s products stick out on store shelves.

“There’s a sea of beers on the shelf,” she said, noting there are now some 4,000 craft breweries, up from 1,700 when Mother’s started in 2011. “Color is the key element that ties back to the original designs.”
