Mother’s Brewing Co. is expanding its reach into Kansas.
Via Kansas City-based distribution partner Central States Beverage Co., the Springfield craft brewer will brings its beverages to Lawrence, Kan., home of the University of Kansas, according to a news release.
“We have been so fortunate with our success in the Kansas City market and Lawrence was the logical next step for growth,” Mother’s owner Jeff Schrag said in the release.
Mother’s is planning a tentative release the week of Feb. 23 to start selling its year-round selections, Towhead, Lil' Helper and Three Blind Mice, company spokeswoman Laura Head said this morning.
Central States has distributed Mother’s products in the Kansas City market since 2012, said John Kane, the distribution company’s general manager and executive vice president. In the release, he called the Lawrence area - about 40 miles west of Kansas City - one of the fastest-growing craft markets in the region.
Mother’s, which opened in 2011, also distributes in the Columbia and Fayetteville, Ark., college markets, as well as Joplin, Little Rock, Ark., Eureka Springs, Ark., and other towns, Head said.[[In-content Ad]]
