Mother's Brewing Co. this week launched its line of craft beers in Arkansas, marking the third state on the Springfield-based brewery's roster.
The company began selling beer Aug. 19 in the northwest Arkansas cities of Fayetteville, Springdale, Lowell, Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista and Eureka Springs, according to a news release.
Mother's Director of Sales and Marketing Jeremy Wicks said the company contracted Arkansas Craft Distributors to push out its first sales into the state. In addition to much of Missouri, Mother's also sells its products on the Kansas side of Kansas City.
“We feel a really strong connection to the area and are excited to bring our passion and the beer to the good people of Arkansas," Wicks said in the release.
Earlier this year, Mother's was ranked as the seventh-fastest growing craft brewery in the U.S. by The New Yorker magazine, based on 2012 data released by the Brewers Association. According to the data, the Springfield brewery produced 5,773 barrels of beer in 2012, a 148 percent increase from 2,331 in 2011, the company's first year.[[In-content Ad]]
