Historic Properties of Springfield Inc., a public benefit corporation, announced July 20 the acquisition of the Mosher House, 1147 E. Walnut. Built by Henry Mosher, president of United Iron Works, between 1892 and 1893 for his wife, Harriet Mosher, the Queen Anne-style home will be developed into a house museum open to the public.
Guaranty Federal Savings Bank is the primary lender on the project, with gap financing provided by the Springfield Finance and Development Corporation. Lydia Broadstreet (left), of Carol Jones, Realtors, was the buyer's agent on the acquisition.
