Mortgage volumes drop 4% in latest week

In yet another sign of a weakening spring housing market, mortgage applications fell last week.

Volumes were down 4.1 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from the previous week.

Purchase applications were down 3 percent, but they're still up 9 percent from a year earlier.
