Mortgage rates dropped for the second week in a row, now down nearly a quarter of a percentage point in two weeks while employment and inflation data is posting stronger-than-expected.
According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.74% in the week ending March 14, down from 6.88% the previous week. A year ago, the average 30-year fixed-rate was 6.6%.
