Monsanto plans $140M cottonseed plant

Monsanto Co. is planning to build a $140 million cottonseed processing plant in Lubbock, Texas.

Construction is scheduled to start in March for the operation that would serve as the St. Louis company's U.S. Hub for commercial cottonseed processing.

It's targeted for completed in the second half of next year, when it would employ 40 full-time workers.
