Monroe dress for Kennedy birthday song sells for $5M

The dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she famously sang “Happy Birthday” to President John. F. Kennedy has sold at auction for $4.8 million.

Julien’s Auctions confirmed the buyer was Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

The flesh-colored dress sparkles with over 2,500 handstitched crystals.
