The Missouri 76 bridge over Bull Shoals Lake in Forsyth will be replaced starting in 2017. After a Missouri Department of Transportation meeting with area residents, Branson Tri-Lakes News reports MoDOT appears to have decided to replace the 63-year-old bridge, rather than rehabilitate it, so traffic flow would not be interrupted.
About 250 people attended a MoDOT planning meeting at Forsyth High School. Branson Tri-Lakes News said attendees suggested the addition of a pedestrian walkway, but MoDOT officials were concerned that element would take the project beyond its $6.6 million budget.
