Three properties are available for purchase from the Missouri Department of Transportation in District 8, which includes Christian and Laclede counties, where the properties are located.
The land encompasses areas no longer needed by MoDOT to build, improve or maintain the state highway system, according to a news release.
MoDOT is utilizing its Realty to Roads program to sell 39 parcels of land statewide March 28-April 1 by either auction or sealed bid. MoDOT will use the funds for highway projects.
“While we no longer need this land, the parcels we’re selling are valuable, and we’re trying to find that right buyer,” Gregory Wood, Realty to Roads project director, said in the release.
